Project Overview

Darajani is a vibrant neighborhood in Zanzibar, renowned for the Darajani Market (or Bazaar), the main food market in Stone Town since 1904. This historic souk serves as a sustainable hub at the heart of Zanzibar, welcoming people of all ages. The Darajani Souk aims to preserve its rich heritage while integrating modern elements to engage the younger generation. The project will feature lush vegetation and Islamic architectural motifs, creating a harmonious and functional space for the community.
